WHO THE CAP FITS

The battle for who becomes the senate president in the APC dominated environment is ongoing this battle is open to all those who are eligible to be voted for irrespective of political parties and their camps. This is going to be the first time since 1999, an opposition party will take the mantle of leadership and by so doing they are expected to nominate candidates with proven integrity who have served in their capacity either in their States or national satisfactorily. Now since the ball was set rolling many senators indicated interest to vie for the senate president but two senators are the must favoure and more popular. This is between the senator representing Kwara central  and two time governor of Kwara Sen Bukola Saraki and Sen George Ikpe-ikpe Akume  representing Benue North East and two time governor of Benue State both of them have served in their capacity at the State level while Akume is going back to senate for the third time his closest rival is going back to senate for the second time. In terms of experience both of them have a merit record due to their measurable and bee hive fellowship from their States. We don't know who is the rightful among the two but, going by the APC stipulated sharing formula the vice president is a Yoruba man just as the The president is a Muslim it will not be very well if the third seat is again given to a Muslim who is the president now and a Yoruba man who is the vice for this reasons it may be why the Tinibu camp is even supporting Sen George Akume to clinch the seat as senate president "who the cap fits let him wear it" If the senate president slot comes to Benue under APC it will be the third time in a strait role the senate seat will be zoned to North Central and all slots given to Benue State under PDP and now APC.
