Benue: Gov Ortom is timely!

Benue State has been in the centre of political game since the return of democracy which came to stay in 1999, since then Benue State has played major roles in the helms of affairs at the national political activities of the country. Since the return of democracy in 1999 to date leaders have emerged but to be kind enough no leader since the return of democracy has started the way the present governor did, just last week the governor was able to visit some important government structures which have been written off completely by the past leaders but needed to be taken care of . The visit of the governor's wife Mrs. Eunice Ortom to the deteriorating schools of nursing and midwives was a wonderful step in the right direction this followed the governor him self last week visiting the same schools and was taken round the structures to have first hand look for him self. This schools of nursing and midwives was heading to an extinction which authority of the schools became afraid soon the schools would have been close down of all activities from its national body. Gov Ortom's visit to the dying school gave the entire community hope that this schools will again stand the taste of time. He also promised that he will do everything possible to ensure that everything the schools need to burst its service will be provided as soon as possible, he said he will ensure before his tenure of four years the institution will be a degree awarding centre. Gov Ortom also visit the long abundant structure of the still functioning Benue news paper house which since its take off has not been either renovated or restructure to meet the present standard of the modern publishing companies. His visit to the Voice newspaper was a burst to the staff because they felt long forgotten  by every government which eventually has rule the State since 1999. The same month gov Samuel Ortom visited the abundant site of the Agricultural Development Company which in the past was responsible for most of the agric birds as well as eggs sold to the public with cheaper rates, the visit was to see for him self the extent of damage which need immediate attention. The governor has in his early office days pay a swift visit to another long abundant project site which was one of the State's economic drive the Taraku Mills limited which has been out of use for more than ten years or more. Another wonderful move was his early visit to the Palace of Tor Tiv Chief Dr. Alfred Torkura together with other set and classes of Chiefs in Tiv Kingdom the same royal visit was paid to the Chiefs of Idoma Kingdom this was done to avail him self to them and inform them of the open door policy the government wishes to operate and also seek for their understanding and corporation. Gov Ortom's less than 100 days in office is seen in blue light as the giant step if not deviated by any force or navigated by any pressure will lead to the yearnings of the peace loving people of Benue State also in the area of crises, he has been on it since he assumed office and that area too is yearning positive result if this crime rate is controlled as he has made pledges of various sums that all those keeping arms whether light, heavy or chemical weapons should hand them over to the police within stipulated period of 90 days he will put an end to the high  rate of cult activities and gangsterism in the State this was aimed at reducing crimes and unnecessary communal clashes among communities in the State, his government he sad is the government of the people by the people and for the people.

GOD BLESS BENUE STATE OF NIGERIA!
