BENUE STATE: ANY HOPE IN THIS CHANGE!

Benue State has experienced change due to the past government to pay attention to the cry of the people for their needs. This came as a wind of change sweeping from all over the State not minding who contests in the opposition as every one who votes, votes because at least the past government must be thrown out to pave way for a new crops of leaders to mount the stage of power in the State. Today new change has taken over Benue State but somethings still gets on and on without been curtailed by the present government of APC led Ortom administration the following are some of our problems.
1. Our roads in Benue State need to get priority attention from government to arrest the day to day long hold ups in Makurdi town precisely Wurukum roundabout which must be freed from long queues. This roads deserve new wider and deeper water channels to be able to keep the capital free from thirty traps and mosquito year round, the capital also deserve new streets as well as wider new roads.
2. Streets lights are nothing to compete any town or city in Nigeria, any time you travel out of the State by the time you reached North Bank Makurdi the entire city is usually kept in the dark for the past 5 years and all routs linking other States like Aliade and Gboko roads all have bad streets lights.
3. SURE-P was planned to alleviate poverty from some jobless people both women and men but since the take over of the government SURE-P has rather move from what it was before to where we can imagined. Those who were employed by the past government have been gradually over taken with new employments, mean while government is owing them for so many months which is yet to be paid other new members have been push  to the field to replace those originally on the former list, this is not what we expect from this change.
4. Bailout fund was supposed to be the first thing this government would have taken as a priority to the people who vote for change to ensure all old things are gone for ever, but the late disbursement or yet to be disburse backlogs have effect on the people and has demoralised their zeal for what workers were expecting to be number one agenda though current salaries are flowing constant.
5. Refuse has taken over the entire city of Makurdi starting from North Bank to South Bank areas of the capital. More worrisome is the High Level roundabout in the middle of the city always littered with refuse all day long. The government upon take over introduced road side refuse collectors but are hardly seen in some areas.
6. Wurukum roundabout must see removal of some structures like the Eco bank, all parks must be moved 200 meters away from the roads to allow free flow of vehicles on the high way.
Filling Stations in and around the city is a danger waiting to explode. If government wants to reduce public risk all filling stations build inside Makurdi or any city in recent time must be warned of the danger it pose for the people
