THE EXTERMINATION OF BENUE CITIZENS!

The extermination of the Tiv/Idoma land by the suspected Fulani herdsmen in Benue State and the support of military might in handling the deteriorating situation in Benue at many interval is a thing to lament on. Just few years ago in Gbeji/Vaase areas came under serious attack by  the Nigeria military who came in with the order of then president Obasanjo to invade the land, the home own of the late Tor Tiv Alfred Akewe Torkula was totally destroyed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. It was total destruction and cleansing as the entire villages was put under siege by the Nigeria Army who instead of coming for peace came to seek vengeance of their killed members. Just recently the Nigeria military sometime last year unleash terror on the good and peaceful people of North bank area in Makurdi the capital of Benue State were properties worth millions of Naira were destroyed. Today is another Benue worst days were day light has turned to total darkness were on every part of the State suspected Fulani herdsmen have chose to kill and butcher anyone found both in villages and market square. Now that another innocent student was killed by an unidentified military man in Jato-Aka, Kwande local area without any justification, and the movement of the military out of Jato-Aka after clashing with Vigilante group is a shadow of death already. Now that Benue have Fulani on the other hand and military threat loom on one hand, what is the next show of terror do the people of Benue State expect? a repeat of Gbeji/Vaase or the return of shadow master. The governor of Benue State Mr. Samuel Ortom must not sleep on the danger looming at Benue people in fact, it is important that Gov Ortom should move his security office to stay in the crisis zone keep watch on the return of the military and suspected Fulani in shot while. Now that the Tiv people have become divided by running from military and same time running from Fulani herdsmen, there is an unforeseen circumstance surrounding the whole scenario in Benue State good or bad.
