HURIWA GIVES FG 72-HOUR ULTIMATUM TO ARREST ASARI-DOKUBO

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the federal government to arrest ex-militant Asari Dokubo. HURIWA threatens to organize nationwide protests in all 36 states if the demands are not met. They accuse Dokubo of having suspected links to the violent activities of "unknown gunmen" in the South-East.

HURIWA also calls on Bola Ahmed Tinubu to order Dokubo's arrest and investigation within the given timeframe. Failure to take action would lead to protests in Abuja. HURIWA emphasizes that Nigeria cannot tolerate such illegality and urges the security agencies to fulfill their responsibility.
