APC BENUE CHAPTER RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS MADE IN MISCHIEVOUS AUDIO RECORD

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have become aware of an audio record that purportedly features someone identified as Mr. Moses Ternenge, a cleaning staff of Alhaji Mai Kano, who allegedly collaborates with Mr. Levinus Tsar, a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, both of whom are neither members or affiliates of our party or officials of the Benue State Government in any capacity.

While ordinarily, we would not dignify such individuals with a response, we are compelled to set the record straight for the public. Governor Hyacinth Alia, a revered personality with considerable followership was elected by the people of Benue State to serve as their Governor. The victory of Governor Alia is a product of the hard work of the party and the acceptance of Benue State people, not the influence of any individual, his unfounded and criminal assertions are viewed with utter dismay.

Mr. Moses Ternenge's attempt to undermine the credibility and integrity of Governor Alia, who has dutifully served humanity for decades as a priest, is both mischievous and baseless. His claims of having personal connections with the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), intervening in legal matters, and having control over the Chief Judge of Benue are laughable and unsubstantiated, the judiciary is an independent institution that impartially carries out its duties, and it operates outside the whims and caprices of any one individual. His boasts of his supposed judicial connections are nothing but an attempt to deceive and mislead his gullible listeners.

Furthermore, his declaration of assuming the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, a position exclusively granted to only the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by by the constitution, is flimsy and gratuitous, It is absurd for Mr. Ternenge to claim the power to command the military with a mere phone call.
