The present situation in APC that allows the National Chairman of APC and his Secretary to resigned from Office yesterday should be adjudged timely and apt.
In Politics, every Leader wants to lead and have the full backing and support of his or her National Working Committee (NWC) behind them but in the case of APC, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu may have failed to do so. Looking at the fracas that led to his resignation, Sen. Adamu failed to fall back into the circle of Bola Ahmed Tinubu even after winning his Presidential race and becoming the President.
Three basic reasons Adamu was not needed again includes his inability to maintain his lane as the National Chairman and the roles he played before 2023 General Elections and the corruption saga which has finally melted his ice without a single knowledge on how to fix the broken jar.
Sen. Abdullahi Adamu is a serial lier, a Political canker which if not cutoff now and allow all the time, may eat deep and end up destroying the entire party. Sen. Adamu had nurse the intention to stop Tinibu not to win 2023 Presidential Primaries by bringing in Ahmed Lawan and lying to the party that Lawan was President Buhari's choice which was later discovered to be lies.
Due to the body language of the National Chairman, the Stakeholders of the party decides to sideline him in the wake of the arrangement to put in place the National Assembly Leadership which he (Adamu) was supporting Sen. Yari to become President of the Senate against the wish of the President and his camp. Adamu did not stop there, he went ahead to announcd that the party disagreed with the Zoning arrangements of the National Assembly, his decision was against the intention of the President and Stakeholders of the party.
Adamu again was in the public domain over the allegations of financial mismanagement from the money made during the 2023 General Elections. This time, it became obvious Adamu would face pressure from the party and by doing so to be ready and prepare for the unforseen circumstances, Adamu went ahead to called all the State Chairmen of APC across Nigeria for a meeting with the intention to move them on his side which he failed to get the desired attention.
Adamu may not be so lucky but even at that, he has continued to play double standard and have played a major role that has push him where he is today.
