BENUE APC: RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS MADE IN MISCHIEVOUS AUDIO RECORD

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have become aware of an audio record that purportedly features someone identified as Mr. Moses Ternenge, a cleaning staff of Alhaji Mai Kano, who allegedly collaborates with Mr. Levinus Tsar, a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, both of whom are neither members or affiliates of our party or officials of the Benue State Government in any capacity.

While ordinarily, we would not dignify such individuals with a response, we are compelled to set the record straight for the public. Governor Hyacinth Alia, a revered personality with considerable followership was elected by the people of Benue State to serve as their Governor. The victory of Governor Alia is a product of the hard work of the party and the acceptance of Benue State people, not the influence of any individual, his unfounded and criminal assertions are viewed with utter dismay.

Mr. Moses Ternenge's attempt to undermine the credibility and integrity of Governor Alia, who has dutifully served humanity for decades as a priest, is both mischievous and baseless. His claims of having personal connections with the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), intervening in legal matters, and having control over the Chief Judge of Benue are laughable and unsubstantiated, the judiciary is an independent institution that impartially carries out its duties, and it operates outside the whims and caprices of any one individual. His boasts of his supposed judicial connections are nothing but an attempt to deceive and mislead his gullible listeners.

Furthermore, his declaration of assuming the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, a position exclusively granted to only the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by by the constitution, is flimsy and gratuitous, It is absurd for Mr. Ternenge to claim the power to command the military with a mere phone call. Such grandiose statements only serve to expose his true character as a divisive, manipulative, and cunning individual who seeks to undermine the major actors involved in Governor Alia's victory, the people of Benue State.

We have witnessed the treacherous role played by Mr. Moses and his cohorts in attempting to sow seeds of loathe and discord between the party leadership and the Governor. However, their efforts have been futile and bereft of any substantial impact. We want to assure the public that the APC will wield its full strength to eradicate these divisive elements who's benefits comes only with crisis.

We hereby call on security agencies to investigate and prosecute Ternenge, Livinus and their co-travelers, a man who boosts of such powers and control of the security agencies, the Judiciary and the highest leadership of the state is a threat to the security of the State.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, as a political party reserves plethora regards for the judiciary and it's independent role in sharpening democracy and as such will not be party to any action that depletes or dents it's proven reputation over the years.

We hereby call on those with similar intentions to abruptly discontinue from any action that undermines the party, the State Government, the Judiciary and the leadership of the Benue State House of Assembly, BSHOA, the general public is hereby counseled to avoid any serious involvement or interaction with these duo as such would end atrocious.

In conclusion, we remain committed to upholding the values of fairness, transparency, and unity within the APC and the state of Benue. We urge the public to discount these baseless allegations and to continue supporting the Governor Alia led administration.
