I am deeply saddened by the recent continue series of killings in My local government area.
These killings and kidnapping are senseless and tragic, and they have left our community in fear and displaced. We pray and hope the Government and the Security agency will do what it's take as a matter of urgency to bring the situation under control because we all deserve to live...
In the past few days, logo LGA especially ugba town have been at the receiving end of robbery attacks which has led to deaths, destruction and despair within the communities, these different attacks have been reported to have resulted in the tragic loss of lives of no less than 5 persons..
Just yesterday they also came to ugba and kidnapped two persons killed and destroyed some properties..
I confirmed that they also collected A Colora car and a space bus belonging to Harry Kamee and Jeremiah Mbaumav and they took them away from unknown destination..
I am concerned by the provocative incompetence of those in government charged with the responsibility to secure the people and their communities, and because we affirm the sanctity of life, we call on all stakeholders at all levels, all people of conscience to lend their voices in ugba in this period of its festering security challenges to ensure that the killers responsible for these atrocities are brought to justice..
Indeed, the scale of the tragedy cannot be overstated, with countless lives lost and communities destroyed...
I also called on the Benue state government as a matter of urgency to transfer the Current D.P.O for not handling his job well as necessicited..
I also call on the Ugondo development Association (UDA), Ugondo youth Association (UYA), prominent sons and daughters of Ugondo, traditional rulers and those in the authorities should act fast to end this menaces.
While we keep our eyes on the stars
And ground our feets to the soil.
May we never look past the blood of the
Innocent spilled daily at our feet in divide
For its our choices that portrays
What we truly are, far more than our abilities
No soul lost can be recalled, we need not
Watch while more is constantly taken
So we plea to all stakeholders to take appropriate actions in securing this environs
Ugba deserves better
