The Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. I.N. Itodo has appointed Professor Elizabeth Kembe to head a committee to handle collaboration activities between African Universities and Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi.

The Committee Terms of Reference (ToRs) are as follows:
1. Determine three (3) African Universities for collaboration with Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM) in basic sciences, engineering, agriculture and veterinary medicine.
2. Initiate a collaborative agenda with the identified and approved universities
3. Work out staff and student exchange between these Universities; staff exchange for sabbatical leave appointments, collaborative research, research, laboratory enhancements, student exchange in the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), Postgraduate student research in these universities and Joint Postgraduate Research.
4. Work out a joint degree award for students of JOSTUM between JOSTUM and and these universities.
5. Work out the modalities for TETFund intervention on students’ exchange programme, collaborative to postgraduate student’s research between Universities and joint degree awards.
6. Reorganize the Directorate of Linkages to include a unit for student exchange, academic staff training and development, linkages/collaborations, and university-industry linkages.
7. Consider a name change for the Directorate of Linkages to “Directorate of Corporate Engagement and International Relations”.
