BENUE ASSEMBLY BEGINS SCREENING OF COMMISSIONER NOMINEES


The Benue State House of Assembly has begun the screening process of the commissioner nominee sent by the executive Governor of Benue state, His Excellency,  Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia to the House.

Opening the screening session was the Commissioner Nominee from Guma local government who is the current Assembly member representing Guma state Constituency, Dr. Yanmar Ortese, his colleagues after a brief introduction of himself asked him to take a bow and resume his seat until swearing-in by the Governor which he will will be allowed exit the House.

The house screened a total of eight commissioner nominees, they are Hon. Mrs. Joyce Luga from Gboko, Dr. Yanmar Ortese from Guma, Hon. Aondowase Kunde from Konshisha, Hon. Ann Itodo from Okpokwu, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange from Ushongo, Rt. Hon. Nick Eworo from Obi, Rev. Dr. Fredrick Ikyaan from Gwer West, and Barr. Fidelis Bemseen Mnyim from Makurdi local government were all screened and are awaiting confirmation by the house at a later date.

The House has moved the screening of the remaining commissioner nominees to tomorrow Friday 11th August 2023 for continuation.
