BENUE COUNCILLORS: GOVERNOR ALIA, WHY?

Dear HE Governor Alia, Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs;

Sirs, why have we not been paid our salaries and allowances like others from the local government council?

Your Excellency Sir, even if it is because of the purported suspension which has no genuine legal grounds whatsoever, the legislature at the third tier worked for the months of May and June before the suspension took place.

Sir, is the suspension targeted at killing us and our family members who depend on us?

In your release, it was meant to pave way to check us and find our misdeed and excesses which we have waited and no one has approached us for anything till date and we have responsibilities and that of our Constituencies.

We call on you that need our money, we worked for it, we will be patient again till Thursday this week which you promised to finish payment of the local government salaries.

A hungry man is an angry man, pay us our monies.

Signed:
Hon. Fanen Dzua
