BIRS MEETS WITH NEW SECTOR COMMANDER FRSC BENUE STATE COMMAND; PLEDGES SUPPORT TO THE COMMISION

The Acting Chairman, Benue State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Emmanuel Agema received the newly posted sector commander, Federal Road Safety Commission Benue State command, Corps Commander S.O Ayodele, on a courtesy visit at the headquarters of the service today, 3rd August, 2023.

The Sector Commander, congratulated the Chairman on his appointment as the Acting Chairman BIRS. He Stated that, been newly posted to the state command, it was important to familiarize himself with the service.

The commander also emphasized that, in terms of revenue generation as regarding Drivers License, Vehicle registration, plate number and others, the commission under his leadership is committed to working in harmony with BIRS to generate more revenue and also prevent loss of money in those areas.

The Commander went further to seek the support of the chairman and the management of BIRS to enable him work efficiently.

Responding, Mr. Agema who was pleased receiving the Sector Commander at his office, extended his ernest appreciation to the Sector Commander for paying him a visit.

The Chairman reiterated his collaboration with FRSC and promised to revive the Tripartite meeting they had in the previous times between BIRS,FRSC and VIO.

The Tax Boss, requested that access be granted to BIRS staff to view or read payments on Federal Road Safety Commission's portal to enable the service know their contribution to the state.

The Chairman also stated that, he promised to set up a mobile court, and all hands are on deck in actualising this aim, therefore, solicited for the commission's support to work with the VIO and the judiciary in setting up the court.

Mr. Agema promised his unflinching Support and Synergy with the commission to increase revenue generation for the state.
