JECHIRA YOUTH PAY COURTESY VISIT ON THE ACTING GENERAL MANAGER, BENUE LINKS LTD

The Youth of Jechira Intermediate Area under leadership of Mr. Augustine Mchihi, today, paid courtesy visit on the Ag. GM of Benue Links Ltd, Mr. Aondohemba Alexander Fanafa in his office at the Benue Links Headquarters, Wurukum, Makurdi in show of their solidarity to all the appointees of the Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia led administration in the state. 

In his opening speech, the Jechira Youths leader, Mr. Augustine Mchihi informed the AG. GM that the youths of Jechira were in his office to pledge their unalloyed support to him and the Fr. Alia led administration to succeed. Mr. Mchihi Called on the AG. GM to consider Jechira Youth where he feels they can best be accommodated since Jechira Youths have no better time than now. He also called on the GM to help Jechira Youth to complete the process of the registration of the youth group earlier started with the Corporate Affairs Commission when he would finally settle down in his new assignment of repositioning the state transport company.

Collaborating the youth leader, Hon. Steven Nomnor, Rev. Iorkyaa Luke among others, Called on the AG. GM to do what he did in Abuja to Benue state and informed the Ag. GM that henceforth he has become a Jechira person but no longer a Sankera man. They solicited for the support of the AG. GM for Jechira Youth and promised to support him to succeed as Miss. Cindy Aondona called on the AG. GM to support Jechira ladies in gaining employment at the company even as booking clerks. 

In his response, the AG.GM, Mr. Alexander Fanafa welcomed and appreciated the support of Jechira Youth and the entire Jechira as a people for finding him worthy of the appointment despite the most qualified sons of Jechira land Who would have occupied the position and may have done better than him and further requested to be registered to become a member of the youth group.

Mr. Fanafa appreciated Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for finding him worthy of the appointment and called on Jechira Youth to help him appreciate God and His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for finding him worthy of the appointment without bias. He promised not to disappoint the decision his Excellency took to make him the AG. GM of the state transport company. He reiterated his resolve to carry all the staff of the company along without sentiment because his priority was to deliver on the mandate given to him by his HE. Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and further advised that the time for party politics was over and that now is the time to give Benue people the good governance they yearn for.

On the requests concerning the employment and empowerment of Jechira youth presented to him by the Jechira Youth leader, Mr. Augustine Mchihi and Miss Cindy respectively, the AG. GM called for more time to enable him look into the demands as the administration moves on. He called on Jechira Youth to consider him as one of their own and promised to be an ambassador of the youth in his assignment so that with his performance more youths would be considered to man various positions of responsibility in the state.

Concerning the call to help Jechira Youth register with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the AG. GM swang into action immediately and rendered support in that regard to enable the youth have the corporate affairs commission's certificate of registration. He also promised to support the Jechira Youth with means of transportation when attending an event and a request is made to him in that regard. 

Earlier in his statement, the Accountant of Benue Links Ltd, Mr. David Terna Yiman appreciated Jechira Youth for such display of wisdom. He extolled the effort of Mr. Fanafa in making sure Benue Links company was not sold by the immediate past administration in the state through a litigations he (Mr. Fanafa) initiated before a law court and how he stopped the grabbing of Benue Links park at Abuja by land grabbers. Mr.Yiman said, it was good to leave your footprints any where you find yourself. He opened up plans of the Acting General manager for the development of the state transport company and called for support for the manager to succeed as Mr. Benjamin Yar, a staff of the company also called for support for the AG GM and collaborated Mr. Fanafa's speech as he called on Jechira to project the AG GM and further advised against “it must be me syndrome”.
