ZAPA SHOULD TRADE WITH CAUTION: REJOINDER BY ZONE B AMBASSADORS FOR PEACE, UNITY AND PROGRESS (ZAPUP)

We read with dismay a publication on social media handles emanating from a Pseudo Group known as ZONE A PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY (ZAPA) which ordinarily we wouldn't have care to glorify the faceless attention seekers, but hence the motive is targeted at jeopardizing the peaceful coexistence and unity of the Tiv Nation , we state thus;

1- The said Group which seems  existing only on social media whose main aim is  to blackmail , ridiculed or promote rancor between the prominent sons and daughters of Tiv urging The paramount ruler of Tiv Nation His Eminence Prof. J O Ayatse to call Senator Dr. Akume whom they  alleged is concentrating only on his Jemgbagh component to order.

2- In the case of Akume, the Jemgbagh born Benue politician is a thoroughbred and grassroot politician whose political career has been in favour of human development, entrepreneurial promotion for job creation and innovative approach to governance. He is posed at positioning the Tiv Nation and Benue at the helm of Nigerian map is given the necessary support.

3- We perceive this as uncivil,divisively and threat  to the people of ZONE B especially Jemgbagh and a deliberate attempt to pull down an industrious son of Tiv Nation Sen. George Akume SGF to the mud.

4- Maybe ZAPA  went on exile when Mike Aondoakaa was Attorney General and minister of Justice.

5- One of the attribute of Senator George Akume is his level of flexibility and accommodating character exhibited by him. He's committed and determine to serve the Nigerian government without minding the level of hatred and backstabbing by unscrupulous ingrates . 

He is posed to operate a transparent policy of giving every segment of Tiv and Benue equal attention without any form of discrimination.

6- But when you see a bird dancing by a road side , just know that the drummer is somewhere in the bush. We urge those behind this faceless group that National interest supersede partisan politics , we must join hands together to rebuild our beloved and make Tiv people and Benue atlarge great.

7. We the  Zone B Ambassadors for Peace, Unity and Progress  (ZAPUP) frown at the subtle attempt by ZAPA to undermine the revered traditional father of the Tiv Nation. It is total disregard and disrespect to address paramount ruler through a press conference. We therefore call on the authors of that writing to immediately apologize to His Majesty for that huge gaffe. 

8. It is rather shameful that at a time when an illustrious son of of land is elevated to a coverted position as Secretary to  Government of the Federation, a group of people who for personal reasons hidden in their hearts, will choose to drag an entire Senatorial Zone with them down the muddy slide.

 9. Even the writers of the hurriedly put press statement would in the next paragraph disagree with their earlier prayer by stating in their words: "let it be stated for the avoidance of doubt that Akume is an illustrious Tiv son who has done a lot for Benue"..... We will not allow a few minds with a differ this narrative for selfish reasons. 

10. The next paragraph insinuates that the Senator is consciously concentrating to spur out loyalties only to his immediate micro socio-political zone of Jemgbagh. While it is not wrong for any politician to drag goodies to his most local constituency, we wish to categorically state that this insinuation as above is the far  from the truth. Though official appointments of aides and staff of the office of the SGF are yet to be made, everyone conversant with the office would attest that two of the most dominant and functional administrative lines of the office are currently manned by Dr. John Tsuwa and Mr. Richard Agwa, all undoubtedly sons of Zone A. He had earlier demonstrated the same inclination when in his time as Governor, Prof. Terhemba Shija and Barr. Emmanuel Udende took charge of the Local Government affairs in the state, a deviation from the norm that places same in the hands of the Governor's kinsmen. 

11. On the nomination of Ministers, even the least educated Nigerian knows that constitutionally, it is the SOLE responsibility of the President and Governors in Nigeria to nominate people who they deem fit to work with into their respective Executive Councils. In Ogun state, the President nominated 3 persons as ministers because it is all within his powers. This is almost same situation in the case of appointing Medical Directors for Federal Medical Centres. The laws regulating the administration of such centres allows the management of the ministry of Health to choose any of the top 3 contenders to head the institution. For a process that was long completed before even the SGF himself was appointed, it is surprising to see the man been accused of swaying the process. 

12. Another point of concern to us is the "grapevine opposition" to the Governor of Benue state as claimed by the Zone A People's Assembly. As at the time of this press, the SGF has not mentioned to, or told anyone around him to oppose the Governor. Rather, we the good people of Zone B have seen and appreciated the unflinching support he gave the Governor through out the electioneering process even when his kin in Zone A fought unquantifiable legal and media wars to halt  Rev. Hyacinth Alia's emergence on the exalted throne just the same way he stood his ground and facilitated the process that would lead to him handing over to another Zone A illustrious son Sen. Gabriel Suseam as Governor when he was leaving the office..... Except ZAPA is telling us that the people of Zone A have some premeditated oppositions be it internally or externally against our leader, Senator George Akume. 

13. About  Hon. Emmanuel JimeJime and by extension concerns raised for others in Zone B, we will call on ZAPA not to cry more than the bereaved as he is not of them, except they have naturalized him in Zone A. No job of ours is going to be lost, we will gain more. 

14. Is very important to note that  60% percent of the prominent people who are in zone A,Akume supported them to be where they are today currently as SGF those who are much closer to Akume are from zone A

15 . For us, it is our fervent prayers that the good Lord will grant the SGF the wisdom, strength and zeel to continue scouting for greater ways for the growth, betterment and unity of the Tiv nation and Benue state in general.

16. Let's not forget that Senator George Akume has climbed .

And  you can play even without wearing Jersey when God blow your whistle.
