The Executive Governor of Benue State Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has restated his determination to open up feeder roads in Benue State to facilitate Agribusiness and improve the lives of rural dwellers.

Governor Alia stated this at Uka, Mbawuar in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State while giving a speech at the funeral of Late Hannah Mbakese Azenda.

He bemoaned the negative impact of deplorable rural roads on Agricultural development in Benue State, promising to give attention to rural roads as they can impact positively on the lives of rural dwellers and transform local communities.

Governor Hyacinth Alia, who had already flagged off construction of sixteen roads in Makurdi metropolis, promised to open up many feeder roads in the state, including the Ihugh - Kiishi - Uka - Bunde road in Vandeikya Local Government area.

While calling for peace in all Benue communities, Governor Alia invited all citizens to look inward and think of how they can possibly contribute to the growth and development of the state.

He mourned Late Hannah Mbakese Azenda, pointing out her believe and dedication to God as one amongst many other qualities that distinguished her as a worthy mother.

Governor Alia called on members of the deceased family to stay above anything that will bring them down, even as he prayed God to grant Late Hannah Mbakese Azenda a befitting place of rest in heaven.
