The All Progressives Congress, APC, Benue State Chapter congratulates the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia Ph.D, his Deputy, Sam Ode Mni, and the teeming supporters of the party in the state on the overwhelming victory in the petition instituted against the victory of the party in the 2023 Governorship election in Benue State by the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
In the same spirit, the party extends congratulations to the Leader of the party in North-Central Nigeria and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. Dr. George Akume CON, and the State Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada and members of the state working committee for leading the party to victory in the last elections.
The party expresses confidence in the Nigerian judiciary for affirming the mandate freely given to Governor Alia and his Deputy Sam Ode by dismissing the petition in its entirety.
The court also affirmed that the elections were free, fair, and credible and were conducted in accordance to extant laws.
The party on behalf of the government extends an olive branch to the opposition in the state to team up and work for the benefit of all Benue people.
The party sincerely thanks the people of Benue stats for their steadfast support of the party and the Gov Hyacinth Alia-led administration and urges them to be strong and unwavering in their support for the APC administration in the State to provide the dividends of democracy to the people.
