The Secretary to the Goverment of Benue State, Prof. Joseph Alakali  on
  Monday said the achievements of Gov. Hyacinth Alia PhD within 100 days in
  office has surpassed expectation in view of the rot in the system and current
  economic challenges.
  Speaking at a meeting in the Cabinet Office with the Zone A Progressive
  Frontiers who paid him a solidarity visit, the Benue Chief Scribe said the
  first 100 days were a litmus test to the monumental and aggressive development
  that will hit the state in the coming years.
  He said the Governor has within 3 months rid off the state work force of
  payroll manipulation and successfully paid 4 months salary and is poised to
  clear all arrears.
  Prof. Alakali listed among others the achievements of the Alia administration
  so far to include; renovation of Benue State House of Assembly Complex,
  ongoing renovation of the abandoned State Civil Service Secretariat, ongoing
  construction of 16 roads within Makurdi metropolis and the whole gamut of
  palliative measures of the Governor aimed at alleviating the hardship of the
  people occasioned by subsidy removal etc.
  He tasked the zone A party leaders whom he describe as progressive thinkers to
  come out with ideas that would add value to the Alia administration and called
  on them to support the Goverment to succeed.
  The Chairman of the group, Hon. Titus Adaaku while speaking said they were in
  the office to pay solidarity to the SSG over his appointment and also seek his
  approval to become their life patron.
  The convener, Dr. Teryima Iorlamen and the Secretary of the group Chief Dese
  Dzenda who spoke separately both thank Gov. Alia PhD for appointing Prof.
  Alakali to man the plum job and expressed confidence that the SSG will
  successfully coordinate and drive the policies of the Governor.
  Other notable prominent members of the group who spoke were a former Ushongo
  LG Chairman, Elder John Moughsha and Woman Leader, Mrs Rhoda Hanmokul. 
  Zone A Progressive Frontiers is a group of notable and highly accomplished APC
  Stakeholders that cut across the 7 Local Goverment Areas of Benue Northeast
  Senatorial Zone.
  Prof. Alakali who accepted to be the group patron was later adorned in a
  traditional ragalia by them as a mark of solidarity.
