LESSONS TO GOODLUCK!
Nigeria is the largest African country and the most populated according to records. Since the return of democracy in 1999, Nigeria has seen one face of group of politicians performing on the stage and corridors of power who every one believed failed the good people of this country. Since the return of democracy the first pilot of the giant ship was one time head of State Gen Olusegun Obasanjo who during the Abacha administration was one of the victims who was lucked up and later gain his freedom and same time was given the opportunity to sail the ship of leadership. Obasanjo ruled from 1999-2007, he was a high headed type who if his late wife Mrs Stella was to be alive was never prepared to quit the stage of power even with the beater expressions from Nigerians he went ahead to hunt down as many as he could who stood on his way refusing him the third term bid using EFCC ICPI ect. When the game became too hot to play it was soon time to go and the same Obasanjo wanting to get a president against the wishes of the people and out side the interest group went for shopping and on his return brought Mr. Yar'adua the former governor of Katsina State who at the time was trying to quit the game of politics. This was for change because all those whose anxiety to contest was burning by the anointing of Yar'adua they all sheath sword only few drew daggers. To some extent every one became tired of the Obasanjo Administration and soon Yar'adua took over the affairs. The beginning was very slow and was known for making wonderful decisions but usually took time to do so in most cases he became the only leader who in the face of crises in the Niger Delta region brought a cemented and lasting solution to the day to day activities in the Niger Delta area. Yet he was continuously blast by some Nigerians for been slow and for failing to rush into conclusion of issues of national interest unfortunately, president Yar'adua due to the fast deteriorating health condition he died in office and was succeeded by his co-pilot Dr. goodluck Jonathan. This was a wind of change due to the fact that his taking over office was a war between the entire Nigerians who felt he was been denied his right to rule as a substantive president controversies trail but he later succeeded and was sworn in as president soon after which he started making policies that were not familiar with the ordinary Nigerians though not too bad. After eight years of power drunk Jonathan intended to again ask for another mandate which he already had wanted to make every tenure to become six years of single term but was given a hot chase by both the media and the general public this gave him a bad reputation. Even when he was accused of wanting to contest again, he was always denying on till the end of his tenure which he then began going for consultation and consequently declare his intention as if this was not enough the first lady's basket mouth was one thing many Nigerians do not want to tolerate yet she never cease to talk. Today they have learn their lessons and it is truly believed that in Nigeria were every body new it was impossible to dismantle a seating government it is a thing of the past. As the wind of change is sweeping clean all the States we hope that the next incoming leaders will make Nigeria proud and will always serve the people instead of the people serving them. One other thing is that every one has felt better and believed that their votes counts. GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
