Earlier in his speech, the Director General, Akya 2023 campaign organization, Mr. Solomon Tyôzer told BAMET correspondents on ground that, the essence of situating the project in the area was born out of the demand made by the constituents in the area during campaign times, and as a man of his words, it was duty bound for the Honourable member to fulfill the promises made inline with the demand of his constituents residing in the area which water scarcity is a major problem.

Speaking separately, Mr. Adamu Rabiu, APC chairman, Ankpa/Wadata council ward, prince Peter Ugoh, former Deputy Chairman, Makurdi Local Government, Hon. Verem Ikyondo, APC Deputy Chairman, Makurdi Local Government all expressed happiness over the way and manner the Honourable member has commenced the fulfilment of his campaign promises; noting that, with the situation of the water project in the area, the issue of water scarcity which the area has suffered overtime will become a thing of the past. They expressed optimism that, if continues the way he has started, Hon. Akya will remain the best representative the constituency has produced since the return to democracy in 1999.

In a similar vein, Mama Kukegh Comfort Ishom, Mr. George Sorkaa, Mr. Andrew Agba and Mr. Tanimu Halilu who are residents of the area all expressed joy for the siting of such most needed project in their area and charged the Honourable member not to relent in his efforts to make sure he fulfills all his campaign promises.
