IN A BID TO FINALLY PUT A TOTAL END ON MARCHING GROUND ACTIVITIES & ILLEGAL LEVIES IN BENUE STATE:

We had a fruitful and Successful interface with the brand new Commissioner of Police and the MOPOL commandant Benue State at the Area Command office.

The meeting had in attendance, the DPO of A Division, B Division, C Division, D Division and that of E Division. Also in attendance were the DPO of Daudu, Naka, Aliade and Gbajimba .

After a carefully audience to our submissions,, the new commissioner of police Benue state thank us for the warm welcome accorded him and appreciated our concern for development and progress of the State He immediately instructed all the DPOs to swang into actions by giving us desired cooperation and maximum support to ensure that perpetrators of such criminal activities (Marching ground) and other legal levies are arrested and prosecuted.

The new commissioner of police express passionate desire and willingness to sustain Peace in the state with cooperation of the host communities especially the youth adding that,there won't be development in an atmosphere of acrimony and insecurity. He further seeks for snergy and cooperation with the Youth to enable him succeed. He described "Marching ground" activities as criminal and illegal activities which should be completely banned to in courage investors and businesses to triev.

The Commissioner advised land developers,shop owners and business men to mention names of any body that comes to them demanding for money in the name of "Marching ground" to nearby police stations. He further added that any DPO of police officer that is refuse to arrest Marching ground boys be reported.
