BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL REDUCES MEDICAL BILLS

In a quest to help actualize one of Governor Hyacinth Alia's dreams and aspirations for the Benue people and bring about reduction in pains during childbirth as well as appreciate mothers for their maternity love and care, the Benue State University Teaching Hospital management, led by Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande has reduced medical bills for child delivery to N5,000 only.

Moreso, medical cards have been declared free of charge for pregnant women and children below the age of five(5) at the Muhammadu Buhari Mother and Child Hospital headed by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande.

Speaking to the newsmen, Dr. Hwande disclosed that the aforementioned strategies are measures towards insuring the improvement of health care services within the state for all Benue people, adding that the target has been to set the hospitals on the foundation of best practice.

Speaking further, the CMD decried the mismanagement strategies deployed by the past administration which crumbled the BSUTH medical facility in totality, adding that the Alia led administration which prioritizes the welfare of citizens is highly committed to making sure that the medical sector in Benue State does not only meet up with the global standard but equally becomes a referral center for others to emulate.

Finally, he assured the state of his doggedness to assisting Governor Hyacinth Alia deliver on his campaign promises to the Benue people, especially as concerns his area of assignment.
